Current stage: Existing space

A lift is for the next twenty years of living in this house.

Most families come to us for the same reason — parents who find the stairs hard, a knee that stopped cooperating, or a new house being built with the next generation in mind. A lift keeps every floor of the house usable, for everyone, for a long time.

G Lifts plans, designs and installs these lifts for houses in Amritsar, Jalandhar, Pathankot, Kapurthala and across Punjab.

Our approach

Three things we get right.

Consultation

We look at the house first, not the lift. Who will use it, which floors, how much space you actually have.

Design

Design led by an architect — cabin, glass, doors and finish chosen to match your interior, so the lift looks like part of the house, not an add-on.

Coordination

We work with your architect, mason and contractor so the civil work is ready before the lift arrives. No surprises, no re-work.

How it works

How it works, step by step.

Every home lift starts with a consultation on your house. From there, one team stays responsible for the whole job.

Consultation

We start with how the house is used — who needs the lift, on which floors, and what the family expects five and fifteen years from now.

Trust & credibility

Why this holds up over the years.

Safety standards

Lifts built to EN 81-41 safety practice, with overload sensing, emergency lowering and battery backup so nobody is stuck during a power cut.

Certified partners

We work directly with a certified manufacturing partner — full test certificates, drawings and traceable parts, every time.

Structural expertise

Self-supporting shafts mean very little breaking of your existing structure. We check slab capacity before any work starts.

Long-term service

One team responsible from the first visit to years of service after — servicing, spares and support handled by us, not passed to someone else.

In their words

Clients on the process.

We were sure about where the lift should go. They told us it wouldn't work there and showed us a better spot. Glad we listened — it fits perfectly now.

I was worried about the mess and the noise, but they finished on time and cleaned up after themselves every single day. No surprises.

My mother uses it every day. My father almost forgets it's there. That's exactly what we wanted.

Questions

Answered before you ask.

Travel height and number of stops, cabin size, shaft and glazing specification, drive type, and the amount of civil work the existing structure requires. Most residential projects in Punjab fall between ₹10 lakh and ₹40 lakh, and we give a written breakdown after the site survey rather than a headline figure before it.

Typically four to six months from consultation to handover. Design and approvals take three to five weeks, manufacturing eight to twelve weeks depending on specification, and on-site installation five to ten working days once civil work is complete and cured.

A self-supporting shaft needs no load-bearing wall to be cut. In most homes the work is limited to a shallow pit or a levelled base, a floor opening, and a dedicated power point. The household usually continues living in the house throughout.

We specify to EN 81-41 practice for residential lifting platforms: overload detection, safety edges on the door, emergency stop, battery-backed emergency lowering, and manual release. Every unit is tested and certified before handover.

A scheduled maintenance visit twice a year, a documented service log, and spares held by the manufacturer. We remain the single point of contact for the life of the installation rather than handing you to a call centre.

In most cases, yes. A self-supporting shaft typically needs a footprint of about 1 metre by 1.2 metres, and can often be placed in a stairwell void, a corner of a room, or against an external wall. We confirm exact fit during the free site visit, based on your actual floor plan.

Yes — most of our installations are in existing homes. A self-supporting shaft avoids major structural changes, so retrofitting doesn't usually require cutting into load-bearing walls.

A home lift can typically serve up to four or five floors. We confirm the exact number of stops and travel height during the site visit, based on your building's floor-to-floor heights.

A home lift draws about as much power as a large household appliance, and only while it is moving. In a power cut, a battery backup automatically lowers the cabin to the nearest floor so nobody is left stuck between levels.

We currently serve Amritsar, Jalandhar, Pathankot and Kapurthala, and take on projects elsewhere in Punjab depending on the site.

Neither on its own. G Lifts is led by an architect and works in direct partnership with a certified manufacturer. We handle the design, planning and full installation ourselves, so you deal with one team from the first visit to the finished lift.

Start with a visit to your house.

Every home lift we install starts with a visit to your house — so the plan, the design and the cost are based on your space, not a standard model.
